It's a Marshmallow world in Union Square! Archibald Query invented Fluff right here in 1917 so we're hosting a madcap festival on Saturday, September 29 from 4 pm to 7 pm on Union Square Plaza. Raindate is Sunday, September 30. The event is free.
Join musical and theatrical performers, inventors, and humorists as we pay yummy homage to this great American foodstuff.
You can join the festivities by mixing a gooey concoction for the cooking contest. Bring your best batch of fluffy goodness at 4 pm to register. You could win the grand prize -- a tour of the Durkee Mower Fluff factory, a unique trophy and other special prizes. - wm, 10/07/2007
Stick around after the festival to whet your whistle with a "Fluffachino" at PAs Lounge, a "Coney Island Men's Room" at The Independent or a coffee at Sherman Cafe. Maybe linger for dinner at one of our excellent ethnic restaurants.
