Living in Boston for two years I found Joe's to have the BEST clam chowder in all of Boston. Every time I am back to visit which is at least twice a year it's the first place I got back to. If they shipped it out I'd order every month! - Julie K., 04/08/2004

i took 3 guests to the hanover location for dinner tues. eve. we had prime rib & filet mignon which was excellent. the service was superb. from there we go downhill. our irish coffee was cold. sent it back & got cold again. my regular coffee was cold. our baked potatoes



were cold, sent back, came back cold again. by now our meat was cold. we were seated at a table much to small for 4 people. we had to keep putting things on next table, like coffee cups & coffee pots, drink glasses, butter dishes, sour cream dishes, bread & butter, sugar bowletc. etc. etc. of course needless to say, we had to keep reaching over each other to get things & to be honest the dinner was a disaster. everyone's mood was short & what was supposed to be a pleasant evening was certainly not!! after spending well over $100 i'm not in any hurry to return to joe's american bar & grill......... - rrolly4@aol.com, 02/27/2003

My wife and I have dined all over the Greater Boston area,but the food at Joe's was the best! The wait staff is superb,the decor and view are amazing (we dined at the Atlantic Avenue location).Ask for Billy,he is the best waiter in Boston! - Jeff W., 08/01/2002
