Out of all lesbian bars that were recommended to my friends and I for a fun night out in Chi-town, we chose the closest to our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised and not disappointed. A fun little place with a diverse crowd and friendly staff. They were kind to us out-of-towners and we seemed to just melt into the scene within seconds of walking in. Being new in town, I was nervous about finding a place to hang out. The Closet welcomed me with open arms. On a bustling Saturday afternoon, I got a great Bloody Mary as well as lots of great tips for navigating the city. Surprisingly, this lesbian bar has a really diverse clientele. While The Closet's main patrons are lesbians, the bar is very guy friendly. Known to some as a 'late night' destination it is open until 4am every day except Saturday when it gets and extra hour. Weekends it packs up pretty tight, but during the week it can be a fun destination to visit with friends to sit and chat with a beer while the VJ plays popular music on the TVs. - Jeff C, 08/10/1999
We went to "The Closet" on a recommendation from a friend this past weekend. We really liked it. Great drinks, cozy atmosphere and diverse crowd. Great place to mingle and people watch. Be sure you bring cash! Oh and check out the hottie who works the door. - TwistedTonic, 01/22/2008
