The best sports bar in Bucktown. Five TVs (mix of 27" and big screen), nice selection of draft and bottled beers. Menu features 1/2 lb hot dog, quesadillas, burritos, chili, burgers, wings, and more. Thursdays - check out the $4 sloppy joes (incl fries).

While I do miss LuLu's, the Damen Avenue Sports Bar and Grill is a nice addition to the Bucktown area - an area with few 'true' sports bars. The owner is funny and friendly. Plenty of TVs. The menu items are basic but most include great shoestring fries! - fan, 09/27/2003

I have been to the Damen Ave. Sports Bar & Grill several times and will definitely continue to go there. The food is great, the bartenders and servers are the most courteous I have ever had the pleasure to experience. Having read a few earlier 'comments', I must say that the owner is a good person, he talks to everyone he can, and makes everyone feel welcome. They have added additional t.v.'s and now have 8 to 10



screens, including 3 large screen t.v.'s. All you need to do is ask for a specific game and they will do whatever they can to show it to you. You will be able to see up to 8 diffferent games at once. I recommend this place as the food is good, the drinks are priced fairly, and you are treated well and made to feel at home. There are no 'attitudes' there. How many other places can you say tht about !?! When you leave you will most likely be thanked 'for coming' by the owner himself. - rocky32, 01/05/2004

I heard there was supposed to be a live band at this place one Friday night. Since I live around the corner from this place, I decided to invite a couple galpals and go check it out. I always frequented the Damen Ave. Sports bar & Grill when I lived in Chicago. I miss it. You will too if you go start going there and move away. You wont start going there stop unless you move away. It is laid back and fun, with a lot more to offer than Sports and games. - Eric, 08/07/2006
