A hangout for White Sox fans; buses provide transportation to Bulls and Bears games. This bar has a separate dining area, along with two large rooms in addition to the party room.

While at a recent lunch outing my friends and I went to Hawkeye's Bar and Grill on Taylor Street in chicago. The food was fine even thought the service was slow, however we were in no hurry. Instead if a 'martini' lunch we opted for soft drinks, we each had three. One prior to the food one during and over conversation after lunch. When the bill came we noticed that we were charged for each and everyone of the soft drinks, no free refills. While this was not really that important, the practice is unusual in this city. I expressed my concern to the woman manager at the place, indicating that this policy was harmful to business. I would not be coming here in the future if this policy



would continue. His response was to argue with me and my friends. Hawkeyes is, or was, a popular destination for many of my office mates until this incident. Now we go elsewhere. - Kevin O, 01/31/2007
