my first time to chicago i visted jazz oasis and had wonderful time. i'm from los angeles, and we have our share of jazz spots aroung town, but jazz oasis in my opinion was off the charts. when i later read in ebony that this young cat was the owner, that really spoke volums. my first time there was back in 94. i don't remember who was performing, but they were tight! i don't know the reason behind it's closing, but i certainly hope that something can be done to get it re-opened. please keep me informed with it's possible progress, it would be greatly appreciated. - chris kidd, 06/06/2007
