From what mom tells me, Lawry's place hasn't changed much since she was a little girl and my grandfather sat on those bar stools... I've heard the stories of the Friday night chicken dinners and heated political debates (Grandpa was a fierce republican). I stopped by last June and sure enough, his bowling team picture was still on the wall. Lawry is gone, and his son has retired, but we plan on taking our son in this fall to show him his real Chicago heritage.
