This is the only club in the area catering to the 10pm-3am hip hop crowd (although doors do open at 5pm). No cover, a Miller Lite runs $4. Bartenders / service in general is very good; bottle service is available. After 11pm hired bar dancers add a bit of flair to the scene. Bathroom assistants offer specialty soaps and scents. Soiree seemed like a great place to have a birthday party, but unfortunately they are unorganized, rude and racist. I set up party plans with one of their promo guys. I requested a VIP area for 10-15, I was purchasing 2 bottles at $120 each. First, when I arrived, they didn't have the particular bottles I requested, so I was willing to substitute. Then they came into my VIP section and told me that they had to put some more people up there because they had also bought a bottle and "business is business"; there was no longer enough room for my 10-15 guest. Then, although I was told there would be



no cover, they charged 6 of my male friends at the door(who are AfricanAmerican). Also, our section was right by the door so I know for a fact that no one else was being charged. When I wanted to speak to management no one wanted to own up to the situation. In no way did they try to accomodate us or see their fault; a few of the so called owners actually began to scream at us. We decided to leave, when I was going to cash out they charged me $30 extra for so-called gratuity that was never discussed in the party plans. I'm all for tipping in the hospitality industry, but forcing me to tip for non-service is crap. If I could give Soiree negative stars I would. Two days later I called to try to speak calmly with the guy in charge. I told him I understood that there may have been some miscommunication and he said to me, " You received wrong information and that's not my problem." If you're looking or good food, good
