I have lived in the neighborhood for years and last night me and my girlfriend had a terrible experience at Toons. Upon entry into the bar, we were harshly greeted by the doorman demanding IDs. No problem with this convention but it gets better... after promptly providing our IDs (both are in our mid-20s) he continued to hassle my girlfriend and claimed her ID was not her. Then he refused to give her legitimate drivers license back to her and began questioning her in a cocky manner. After about 10 minutes of belittling conversation with the doorman and a bitter taste in our mouths, we decided to walk down the street to another more inviting bar. The owner should carefully review the staff's treatment of local neighborhood patrons. - Steve, 01/06/2007
