Chicago's South Loop fun-spot, Weather Mark Tavern is a must on your entertainment tour. This delightful nautical tavern is constructed of beautiful wood, exposed brick and rich granite, with a shape and design that captures the spirit of Chicago's lake fleet. Floor to ceiling sails create semi-private casual areas and formal dining seats 120. The atmosphere embraces up-scale fun for sailors and non-sailors alike with a lunch and dinner menu not commonly found at a conventional tavern. The bar has a full selection of liquors and a modest, moderately priced wine list that fits every budget. The specialties of the house are rums, a selection of tequilas and other liquors of the tropics and customers sitting at the bar will be provided an appetizer menu. You have to try some of the specialty drinks this tavern is noted for like; The Weather Mark Cooler or Three Sheets to the Wind. Delicious couldn’t believe I was eating in a tavern. But Weather Mark is not your everyday tavern. Beautiful décor, brink wood and granite. Really cool sails divide couches and the tables for a more formal dinning is in back. The menu is out of this world and the presentation is even better. Not out of this world in price and they have brunch on the weekends with a bloody mary special – yum! I have been several times now and every time I’m impressed. The menu is really classy. They have a great website with coupons Free wireless internet, kids stay till 10:30pm, Veggie friendly. 25 different rums. Nautical themed drinks follow the décor.
