This annual event raises funds for the people with disabilities served by Marklund, a not-for-profit network of services providing a full-life experience for infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities. Guests will enjoy open bar, fine dining, dancing to live music, auctions and more. Guests top off each year's event with a special toast to an outstanding Marklund supporter named "Friend of the Year." (2007 honoree to be determined.) Founded more than 50 years ago, Marklund's services encompass the full realm of human needs, including loving medical care, home-like residential facilities, state-of-the-art habilitative therapies, quality educational and day services and exceptional community-based programs. Marklund's main campus in Geneva, Ill., consists of six 16-bed residential homes for adults with severe and profound developmental disabilities, as well as an educational and training center that provides for the intensive medical, social, emotional and physical needs of the residents.
