Detail for Spot, The: Restaurant, Bar / American
Formerly Frankie J's located downstairs from the former MethaDome Theater, it has recently reopened as The Spot. Chef/owner/performer Frankie Janisch has kept most of the old menu intact. Items include tasty calamari, grilled salmon available 4 ways, pastas, and perfectly prepared hand-cut steak served with a vegetable and coleslaw prepared from a family recipe. A long list of specialty martinis is offered. The upstairs theater has been renamed Second Story Basement bar and again is hosting comedy and improv shows. Call for hours. - Alotta, 10/03/2006
