Open for lunch and dinner Mon - Thurs until 11:30 pm, until midnight Fri - Sat; closed Sundays. This Ghanian-Nigerian restaurant is tastefully decorated with African art. Choose from counter seating, or sit at a glass top table surrounded by wicker chairs. An extensive menu boasts stews, soups, and entrees prepared with unusual ingredients. Dishes include eforiro, a spinach stew in a tomato-based sauce, and aya mashe, a spiced green pepper soup. Meat eaters can choose from dishes such as curried goat, jerk chicken, oxtail, and tongue. BYOB. - wm, 08/26/2003

Wish I'd read the previous review earlier. I just got some soup from this restaurant and was cheated out of my change! Soup cost 4.99, I gave $6 for taxes and never got my change/receipt. I will definitely not be going back there!!! - anonymous, 10/06/2008

I am a true fan--the kenke with fish and pepper is my absolute favorite (very flavorful & spicy), also the meat pie,& the spinach dish. Bolat tends to run out of food--which is annoying, but when they have what you want, it's absolutely a delicious experience!

I called this restaurant on Fathers day, the phone went unanswered for more than 5 minutes. I called again and within 2 minutes got a response. I ordered 4 plates of coconut rice with chicken, meat pie, beef kabob and hot pepper goat soup and was told there wasnt any left on the menu! So I decided to order the Jollof rice and chicken and one rice and curry chicken so that by the time we got there the food would be ready. As we were about to leave, I got a call from Bolat. They had run out of Jollof rice as well! Is this a restuarant or a joke? - A former fan, 06/17/2007
