I HAVE BEEN IN THAT RESTAURANT MANY TIMES AND THE SERVICE HAS BEEN GREAT THE HOURS HAVE BEEN PRETTY REGULAR, I ENJOY THE FOOD VERY MUCH I AM ECUADORIAN AND YES EVEN WITH A COOK BOOK YOU CAN MAKE THOSE MEALS...BUT WITH A COOK BOOK YOU CAN MAKE ANY MEAL..I THINK THAT THE FOOD THERE IS VERY GOOD AND WHENEVER MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS GO THERE WE ALL LOVE IT, JUST BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT IS ECUADORIAN! - ERIKA L., 06/25/2003
Being fans of the country of Ecuador, and its cuisine, we decided to make a special trip to Chicago when we stumbled across this restaurant in the Yellow Pages. We drove by in the morning, and checked the hours-- we were in luck, they were open for lunch. We did a little shopping, and got back to the restaurant nearly an hour after they were scheduled to open. They weren't. We parked on the street and waited. After a while, a letter carrier from the Postal Service was coming down the street on his route. We asked him about the restaurant. He hadn't been in their, but the hours we pretty irregular according to him. We made a few other stops, getting back to the restaurant in time to find them opening hours late. We spoke with the owner, sharing our mutual appreciation of Ecuador, and we sat down for a meal. The owners, a husband and wife, are both Ecuadorian. The menu listed only fairly common choices-- things that even the average person with a cookbook could duplicate quite easily. In Chicago, it's fairly easy to find authentic Ecuadorian ingredients-- we even know a grocer in Chicago who will sell fresh - One Disappointed Traveler, 03/11/2003
