Brought to you by the owners of Red Light and Marche, this charming Italian eatery features a high ceiling, exposed brick walls, velvet curtains, large floral accents, and a huge open kitchen. Menu items include several unique vegetarian options such as cappelacci filled with squash and eggplant with tomatoes and mozzarella. Non-vegetarian items include dishes such as scallops with artichokes and braised short ribs. Side dishes can be ordered a la carte, and include rosemary frites and roasted Brussels sprouts. Beyond the pizzas ($10) and two pasta dishes (avg $15) there is scant Italian fare to choose from; other selections include rib eye steak ($35), pork shank ($25), salmon, hazelnut-encrusted grouper, tilapia, and filet medallions.
Our waiter was very good; bus service is a bit too eager. Tables are a bit close together, don't expect to have an intimate conversion. Dinner for two with two glasses of wine, with tip, will be $75 - $90. - js999, 11/11/2006
