Open for 15 years; vegetarian specialties are served in this retro health food restaurant: omlettes, chili, and stir fry dishes. Meat eaters will enjoy the ribs, turkey burgers, buffalo burgers, and buffalo burritos. Best side dish: corn bread stuffing. Buffalo bar open until 2am, 3am on Sat. Recommended tap: Flying Dog Ale.
Service is very laid back - we didn't care, as it was a great night to sit outside.

This Rogers Park institution features delicious, large-sized portions of sandwiches, salads, and buffalo burgers, as well as many vegetarian entrees. Most items range in price from $5-$10. A laid-back atmosphere sometimes rubs off on the waitstaff, but the regulars happily and patiently wait for yummy food. Live music such as jazz, funk, and folk is available most every night, and Wednesday night is poetry open mike. A full bar serves a scaled-down menu into the wee hours, and a general store carries fun and unusual novelties as well as magazines and books with a liberal slant.
