Plenty of wood accents and a long bar lend a publike feel to this restaurant. Items include overstuffed turkey sandwiches with avocado and bacon on Italian bread, and a brunch menu where bacon and two eggs automatically come with orders of pancakes and French toast. Kuma's menu features several sandwiches cleverly named after heavy metal bands (i.e. Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Black Sabbath). Excellent fries! We sampled the "Plague" burger .. it was fabulous. On tap: Two Brothers, Allegash. Good selection of bottled beer. The flat-screen TV was playing a vintage Asian Martial Arts movie .. a nice touch. - wm, 03/15/2008
Some of the best food we have eaten in a long time. This is a restaurant that has no pretensions, or airs about it. The staff, the owner, and the chef were gracious and friendly, and as we said before, the food was fantastic. We will be back to try other dishes soon. - marty j, 08/17/2005
