After visiting La Pasadita for about 15 years, I have moved to Texas three years ago, and every time I have a chance to get back to Chicago, this is my one 'must' stop. The decision is tough. It is either a couple of steak tacos with cheese and chile relleno or the steak burrito with cheese. It is served with a no-nonsense spicy green chile salsa, onions, and cilantro. No beans, rice, lettuce or tomatos served here. Order the Orchata (rice water). You can get soft drinks or lemonade anywhere. Atmosphere is spartan at the stand on the east side of the street. About 12 stools at two counters. Can't say I've been to the roomier restaurant across the street on the west side of Ashland in about five years. fxn2doit@home.com - Andrew, 11/11/2001
