The food used to be great and the atmosphere warm and interesting. Now, after their increased popularity, the food is okay, the serive is average and the atmosphere is horrible. I am not a sensitive person, but the music is so loud it is the main reason we will not be regulars at LaPena anymore. Several people asked for the band to turn off their amps, as they are not necessary in such a small space, but the staff did not comply. This is the second time we have left with headaches and sore throats from yelling. It's not worth the money anymore. - J.B., 01/06/2007

This restaurant is to die for! Their food is superb and their service is first class. This is probably one of the most romantic restaurants I have ever been to. The atmosphere is inviting and warm.
