New Tokyo is an excellent Japanese restaurant - and I am there weekly, because of the excellent variety in the sushi rolls available. Ive been to several restaurants in Chicago, and have yet to see such a creative menu. The food is excellent, and multi-dimensional in terms of flavour. The spicy sake crunch is one of my favorites! If you dont like sushi, the appetizers and entrees are also equally wonderful, and filled with flavour. Ive recommmended this restaurant to several friends, and former sushi haters, have overcome their aversions - frequenting New Tokyo regularly. This restaurant is a stones throw from where I stay in Chicago. The only thing that is bad is that due to space, you are confined. The Sushi is prepared by chefs with a great pride of their craft. The rice is done to perfection. The rice is important in not being overpowering to overwhelm the nuances of the various fish. For this and only this, makes this relatively new place a must stop for truly phenominal sushi - Larry Kronenberger, 02/04/2003
