Located in Chicagos renowned Gold Coast neighborhood and just steps away from the magnificent mile of Michigan Avenue, Pane Caldo offers a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Soft jazz plays overhead as the professional wait staff serves each guest with grace and style. Menu: Contemporary Northern Italian cuisine with French influences. The menu changes daily, featuring seasonal rare and exotic herbs, paired with the freshest organic meats, poultry and wild seafood. This cozy, stylish spot serves up fresh, contemporary Italian cuisine. Make your own bruschetta with freshly baked homemade bread and toppings of marinated tomato and basil and black olive tapenade. Exotic, rare herbs are paired with organic poultry, meats, and seafood to create outstanding dishes. Other menu items include innovative salads, risotto and pasta dishes, available in half portions. Open daily for lunch and dinner. - Alotta, 12/04/2003

We just returned from another truly delicious meal at Pane Caldo. We and our guest had the duck, the clams, and the acorn squash tortellini, all of which were superb, as were the wines and the desserts. The service was its customary efficient and friendly self. It is for these reasons that we keep on coming back and enjoying your wonderful neighborhood 'secret'. To quote MacArthur, we shall return!!!! Joan and Murray Levin - Dr. and Mrs. Murray Levin, 06/23/2004

We had one of the best meals ever at this charming little restaurant. Everything was wonderful, food, service and ambiance. Be sure to try the Barolo, truly a beautiful wine. - Mary Caruso, 06/28/2001
