A cheery, colorful room paves the way for Tex-Mex fare. Start your meal (or wait) with a drink called Uncle Julio's Swirl, a frozen combination of half margarita and half sangria. Menu items include huge portions of standard fare. Recommended: mesquite-fired fajitas. Kid-friendly, no reservations taken. Patio dining available in warmer months. Not worth the experience you'll get upfront! The hostess and the manager are completely unprofessional, made us wait for 2 hours on a Wednesday - 'cause they really don't put your name on the list till your entire group is there!No point in someone going early to get a table! This is one of my favorite Mexican places in the city. The bar is great as well as the outdoor waiting areas... The salsa is the best that I have ever had - fire roasted. The chips are good as well as the enchiladas suiza! The wait can be long but how bad can it be with Sangria in your hand! :) - Nicole P, 09/22/2005
While the food is great, something could be said about the service. I walked in on a what is a slow monday night (8 PM)and ask for some chips and salsa take out and was abruptly told by some self-important manager the take-out was not available after 5:30pm.
