I came across this small, cozy, traditional Italian fast food shop a few months ago. I decided to try one of their famous beef sandwiches, which did taste like 'grandma's recipe. The sandwich was messy, but tasted fantastic! The help was very friendly, and for the cost and size, you just can't beat it. I have been an Al's Beef fan for years, being from the suburbs, but I am hooked on Vittori's old fashioned recipe. Order a large sandwich and take half home for dinner!! There is no question here of WHERE'S THE BEEF, It's here at Vittori's Sandwich Shop, same location for over 30 years in Chicago's Little Italy on Taylor Street!! - Jeanne, 12/29/2001
