Open Mon - Thurs 5 pm - 10 pm, Fri - Sat 5 pm - 11 pm, Sun 5 pm - 9 pm. The flaming rotisserie takes up the far wall of this dark and stylish location with a 1940s feel. Features a welcoming and romantic bar. Fantastic flame broiled entrees highlight the menu options. Recommended: beef ribs, 22 oz. Porterhouse steaks ($27) and the rib eye ($24). Being a wonderful cook myself and considered many a master of beef, I rarely order STRAIGHT-STEAK at a restaurant with fear it won't meat my expectations. But The thought of a 26 ounce chop-rib eye made my defenses fall! With a little hesitation I ordered it. Along with the cabobs(portebello/chicken) for apetizer and wonderful service, and some of the best steak I have had, it was the best meal I have had in the Chicago area! Wildfire. So far, I haven't had any steak that could even compare to Wildfire (I haven't been to Gibsons yet.., than I'll let you know). The service was excellent comprised of an extensively knowledgeable staff. Although my filet mingon was again 'unbelievable', my companions were a little less than satisfied with the portion of the salmon. All that was served was one filet of salmon with a tiny side of mashed potatoes. But hey...if you go to a steakhouse, you should get steak. - Peter (same as before), 04/03/2002
