Detail for Yoshi's Cafe : Restaurant, French / Vegetarian

French food with Asian accents; good selection of seafood. Very highly rated. Recommended: the tofu 'steak' ($9). Excellent selection of vegetarian entrees. - sys, 02/27/2000

This spot offers decadent, contemporary cuisine with a strong Japanese and French twist as well as a touch of Italian and Mediterranean influence. Start with the creamed shiitake, leek, and Brie tart; or chilled tea-flavored coconut-milk soup swimming with sauteed sea scallops. Entrees include grilled swordfish topped with chiles guajillos sauce and accompanied by wasabi mashed potatoes, and sauteed slices of duck breast in a sauce of green peppercorn. A dessert tray offers just the right creation with which to finish your meal. Open for dinner Tues-Sun; Sunday brunch. - Alotta, 09/15/2005

Yoshi is the best chef in the City, period- his food is amazing and I make a point of eating there whenever possible- I recommend sitting at the counter if it's not already reserved. His pÔtÚ is incredible, as is the tuna tartare and the pumpkin potstickers are to DIE for. If rabbit pot pie or cassoulÚt are on the menu, they're sure winners, and so

is the Wagyu beef. If it's available, try a glass of the raspberry wine for dessert...

The best restaurant in Chicago. I visit the windy city several times a year on business and I never fail to stop at Yoshi's. Chicago has so many excellent restaurants that one would think a favorite would be impossible to choose, but with Yoshi's around the title of 'Chicago's Best' is well and secured. - The Mad Eater What Eats at Midnight, 02/06/2002

one of the best restaurants in the city. Wonderful, open decor, fabulous service, outstanding presentation---everything from appetizer to dessert is outstanding. - nancy, 08/25/1999
