Open for lunch Tues - Fri, dinner served Tues - Sat, closed Sun - Mon. Feast on a constantly changing menu of exotic ingredients and spices fused with French-style preparation. For starters, try the king crab and baby white asparagus tossed with honey-grapefruit vinaigrette. A unique surf and turf dish is the grilled Hawaiian walu fillet, placed on a braised boneless short rib and served with glazed root vegetables. For a hint of Indian spices try the rare squab breast with sweet potato-cherimoya puree and okra. A sponge-type cake topped with apricot nougat glace is a favorite dessert. This converted warehouse with three skylights, a color scheme of calming earth tones, bamboo accents, and a dramatic 15-foot glass wine cellar paves the way for a fine contemporary American menu. Unique seasonal offerings include duck breast pot pie with raisins, pearl onions, and pears; grilled foie gras; and sesame-encrusted Chilean sea bass served with pan-fried rice noodles and coconut curry sauce. Desserts include caramelized banana tiramisu encrusted in macadamia nut brittle. Dinner prices are $8-$16 for appetizers, $15-$34 for entrees, and $9-$12 for desserts. Dinner tasting menus are $85 for five courses ($75 for vegetarian), $105 for seven courses, and $125 for spontaneous seven-course chef's table menu.
