Detail for Rizzo's : American / Italian

[an error occurred while processing this directive]

Exposed brick walls and hardwood floors accented by suede booths, modern light fixtures, and two custom-made wood bars pave the way for a menu of American cuisine with an Italian twist. Open for dinner starting Wednesday, June 8, lunch and weekend brunch service will begin soon thereafter. Flat-screen TVs, dancing, and special events also offered. - Alotta, 06/07/2005

Rizzo's, I can not say enough on the great food, service, an night life. I will be coming back soon with friends. - Bloomingdale, IL, 03/05/2007

My husband had never been to Rizzo's and I'd only been there for lunch, which was very good, so we tried it out 1/26/07. The food was outstanding, but the service left a lot to be desired. We didn't order appetizers because, as we explained to our waitress, we had a time constraint and had to relieve the babysitter. It was 5 p.m. and there were two other parties of two in the whole place. The meal still took almost an hour to get to us, with no apologies from the waitress. They kept the bread coming, though, and the

meal, as my husband said, was worth the wait. Really outstanding, I had swordfish, he had pasta. Mine was better. I would give it another chance and just trust the service might be better next time.

Rizzos is Great!!! THe atmosphere is terrific. The food is incredible and they have the best nightlife in Naperville. - Bob B, 11/22/2006

I decided to take my boyfriends parents out to dinner...and it wasn't a good time! They drove in from Detroit, moved stuff all day, and just wanted a nice local place. Chose Rizzo's because I had never been there before and it looked interesting....but trust me I won't be returning. We started out waiting 40 minutes when we were told 15. They finally got us and said they just had to clear out a table.......well after watching the reception ladies SLOWLY getting it ready, 10 minutes later we sat. Once seated, we gave our order in which 3 of the 4 of us ordered the same entree. 5 minutes later the waitress returned stating they only had 1 left of that entree and so two other people from my party had to re-order. We went through the first round of bread and asked the waitress for more.......she forgot. Luckily the water lady took care of that. 30 minutes go by and we have no food, the waitress comes by and says 'a few more minutes'. Another 20 minutes go by, and I asked and she replied 'just a few more minutes, we have a large party in back and a small kitchen'. (I'm thinking, you're a restaurant....you should be able to handle this). So finally after almost an hour the manager comes by and without a beat says that he apologizes and the whole meal is on the house. Kudo's to him as he was the only saving grace. So then the food FINALLY arrives. The grilled Salmon was fine, the crabcakes were fine, the pasta was less than a meal for anyone, and the stuffed chicken was a joke. Stuffed Chicken was apparently their 'special'. It looked like half a breast, barely any sausage in it, and it was on top of maybe 5 steamed carrots and 2 pieces of green bean. The ceaser salad was even a let down. Bottom line, the entree's are no way a full meal. Thanks to the manager, everything was indeed free. But free still does not mean fine. I was so embarassed to have chosen that spot to take my boyfriends parents too during their FIRST visit to the area. I won't be returning........ - Naperville Resident, 07/09/2006
