Stop by for an award-winning Italian sub such as the Italian Special made with prosciuttini, capicola, and provolone. Try the Blockbuster, a favorite sub made with ham, Genoa salami, capicola, provolone, and Swiss cheese. Hot sandwiches such as meatball, Italian beef, and combo sandwiches available, as are green salads and an antipasto salad. Party trays available with 24-hour notice required. With sandwich sizes ranging from 6" to 3 feet and prices starting at $2.95 it's no wonder that Fontano's has been a hit since 1960. - Alotta, 09/10/2003

The subs are great, well priced and full of meat. The best part of the establishment is the restaurant in the back. It's quiet and more importantly the food is outstanding. The Lemon Chicken is to die for as well many of the others. All of the desserts are homemade and wonderful. Perhaps they will even make a cannolli martini! - sbegman, 12/20/2008

This Hidden Gem is not just for Subs. The food is out of this world. Try the dining room menu where everything is made fresh. Chicken Marsala is loaded with mushrooms and taste. Desserts are all homemade as well. Oreo browines that has a frosting that taste just like the Oreo filling. This is a must try! - Mpaulson, 07/17/2007

This was very disappointing! I went in and was looking for a classic Italian sub. They have a few variations on that sub. The people behind the counter recommended I get one with cappicola, salami, and pepperoni. This sounded great since mortadella is ok at best and I do like pepperoni. The sub was very slim, and VERY low on meat. It had a plain taste with little oil or vinegar. Then wait what? mayonnaise, on and Italian sub? I was shocked to say the least. The prices where extremely high, for the quality and quantity of food. A 12 in sub was $9.95. One of the best sub places around here Augustinos has a 12 in at $7.49. Augustinos sub I can finish 65-70% and I am stuffed, this sub I ate it all and was ready dinner. I would not recommend this as a place to eat. - Subman, 07/11/2007
