Bolingbrook is my and my husband's hometown and we spent a lot of time at Portillo's (we had our first date there!) I've always thought Portillo's has the best food on the planet. Everything on the menu is a hit; from their famous Chicago style hot dogs to their Italian beef sandwiches and great salads. Their shakes and their fries are also a little slice of heaven. My husband has been in the military since we got married and we've had to move far from the nearest Portillo's. But when we come back to town to visit my in-laws (they live in Bolingbrook)we stop at Portillo's before we even walk through their front door. In all of the places I've lived, I've never found anyone that can compare to Portillo's. They make Burger King, McDonald's and all the rest look sad! If you ever find yourself in the Chicagoland area, be sure to eat at Portillo's at least once.
