I have been going to Abruzzo since the first month they opened. Since that time, I have never had a bad experience or bad meal. I like the eggplant, angel hair pasta with basic red sauce and a side order of meatballs, their woodfire pizza and other dishes. My wife almost always get the chicken marsala. Portions are ample - we always walk out with a doggie bag after dinner. Food is always good, always has a home-cooked feel and taste to it. Been going there so long that the wait and bus staffs are always cordial to us. Service is typically prompt. By any measure, the food is very very good. When price is considered, the value becomes stellar. My wife and I moved 50+ miles away a few months ago. However, we still make it a point to visit Abruzzo at least once each month. It's not a bad idea to call in a reservation ahead of time just to be safe. The ebb and flow of the dining room can be interesting -- quiet and nearly empty one minute, packed and bustling fifteen minutes later with a lengthy wait for a table. - FRobert, 12/27/2007
