Roberto's is a great restaurant if you love garlic, oilve oil and the authentic Italian way of dining. Recipes are AUTHENTIC Italian (e.g., the regular Bolognese meat sauce has liver in it because it is traditional; you need to ask for the 'other' meat sauce if you don't like liver, like I do not.) Chicken lemon is very good. Zuppa da pesce pleased my date. I didn't like the already dressed spinach salad - much too much. Ask for dressing on the side. Service seems to be better if you are regulars. Its furnishings are tastefully elegant. Wine list is expansive. It's also a great place to watch Italian people coming and going. A little opera music by way of a real singer would make the place really special, like Monastero's in Lincolnwood. - Chris K, 08/01/2003
