Built in 1977, and purchased by GM in the late 90s, this complex is indeed a "renaissance" for downtown Detroit. There is a food court located on the lower level, with at least six different fast food choices. One floor up, a mini GM Museum, with several cars and other memorabilia on display. The Marriott Hotel, located at the center of the complex, is the tallest hotel in the world (70 stories). Skywalks link the hotel to the People Mover and Marriott Courtyard across the street.
