Sit at a wine bar with contemporary, casual decor. A huge, well chosen wine list sports many by the bottle; only a few available by the glass. Also available is a list of upscale imported beer. Not to be overlooked is the dinner menu, with light appetizers available at the bar and a larger selection of food available in the dining area. Tapas can be ordered individually for $5.50, or in a group of four for $21. The artichokes are a good choice, delightfully prepared in Italian fashion: stripped down to their hearts and retaining a short section of stalk. The marinated flank steak salad for $10.50 is made with tender pieces of meet which have been marinated in red wine and herbed onions, and is a good choice for a light bite. More substantial offerings include the truffled boneless chicken breast, served with tartuffo cheese; and the rack of lamb which features six riblets cooked in a syrah reduction.
