Originally known as the Schroeder Hotel. 24 story (tallest hotel in Wisconsin) / 600 room hotel built in 1924. Features: indoor pool, Benson's Steak House, Bombay Bicycle Club (Lounge). Several meeting/ convention rooms. Located near the convention center.
Centrally located in the heart of downtown, it features 750 guest rooms and 30,000 square feet of meeting space capable of hosting groups from 10 to 1,000. The Hilton Milwaukee City Center, formerly the Schroeder Hotel, Sheraton Schroeder Hotel, Marc Plaza Hotel and Milwaukee Hilton, began as the dream of Milwaukee's hotel and insurance magnate, Walter Schroeder (1878-1967). When originally completed in 1928, the hotel had 811 guest rooms.
