Fried Chicken the way it used to be.. home-breaded, fried, and served hot to the table. Walleye dinners to die for. And of course, the burgers are top-shelf. Beer selection on tap is not as good as the self-styled "brew-pubs" in the Twin Cities, but a good selection in bottles. Small enough to be friendly, big enough to take softball teams in for celebrations. Great Karaoke library. One of the last Cheers-style pubs left in the area.. definitely worth a visit. - Brian Link, 06/22/2007

The Chalet is a great neighborhood bar. The burgers are fantastic. And they have lucky pull tabs there. Been to Karake once , and was surprised just how talented the participants were. I'd recommend it. - Cue of McCarrons, 04/19/2003
