It seems Amore Victoria has become quite a popular place in uptown..it has been hard to get in recently on weekends. I guess I will have to start making reservations. The food at Amore Victoria is top-notch...I have yet to have a bad meal there. The atmosphere is beautiful. I love all the mohogany woodwork and the view from the bar. Amore Victoria is an all around great restaurant. I've never had anything less then PHENOMENAL tasting food here. The staff is so nice and hospitable, and the off night deals are amazing...Happy hour and 1/2 price bottles of wine. Not to mention they are open for brunch on the weekends, and it's cheap..so skip the wait at the Uptown Diner and head to Amore Victoria. I'm so glad Amore Victoria opened on that corner (Lake and Irving). The food is PHENOMENAL, and the atmosphere divine. I had the most incredible Risotto there the other day, everything on the chef's page(an ever-evolving menu of seasonal items) looked scrumptious. The more traditional staples are savory meals as well..Tortellini alla Panna, Lasagna, Chicken Marsala. The decor is timeless, very rustic and quaint Nice brunch on weekends, too. I also love the parking. The only complaint I have is that I will never be able to try everything on the menu..too much there. - jenwindsor, 10/11/2007
