My friend and I were told to try this restaurant. We arrived at 8 PM last Friday evening. We were immediately impressed by the atmosphere. How fun to try something different. We were seated on pillows and ate from a small table near the floor. We started with the Marco Polo appetizer. What a nice assortment. The yogurt dip was a nice touch. Our dinners arrived just after we finished the appetizer. The waitress was very good about explaining what each item was. The lamb shank had a bit of fat on the outside. It was very tender and just fell off the bone. Tasty! We ended with a nice hot cup of tea. The entertainment was also very nice. We would go there again and recommend it anyone who would like to try something different. - safari2510@home.com, 04/09/2001

I had the same experience just recently. The bill was high and the food was downright bad. Great atmosphere, but lousy food. The meat was tough and the curry was bland. - onjohn@earthlink.net, 12/01/2000

We have been going to this restaurant for 20 years and have always enjoyed it, but this past weekend proved to be a different story. Saturday night we arrived early and were able to seated immediately and orderedd the Marco Polo appetizer platter. I enjoyed all the selections but my wife thought that some were bland compared to the past times we ordered it. When our dinners arrived, my wife's lamb shank was warm and her meat was tough. My daughters Mongolian beef was tough also and my lamb cubes were also tough. My daughter really liked the way her dinner was spiced and my curry was also very flavorful. My son had jumbo fried shrimp and did not like the taste of them and to me they looked like they came from some generic freezer bag. What capped off the evening was when the bill came for $84 dollars and no one seemed to enjoy what they had. We made up for it by heading to Cafe Latte for some of their chocolate cake to put a smile back on the evening. - tdt@lsil.com, 02/01/1999
