GONE!! Where did it go? - Homer, 05/09/2007

Cintia's is great!!! It's more Tex-mex than strictly Mexican (think Don Pablo's) but it's fairly authentic Tex-mex. The meat in the tacos is juicy and tasty and has great texture. That's a huge distinction among Mexican restaraunts in the twin cities. They lay out good chips and salsa before the meal and they have a great beer selection (they had a special on Sierra Nevada last time I was in). The decor is nice, colorful and lively and the dining room is failry well lit. Despite the nice bar, the place is not very smoky so it's kid-friendly. The prices are reasonable (about $10-$12 a plate if I recall) but not cheap. Tequila is a little pricey there, but they make an effort to keep a suitable selection on hand -- one cheap, one medium, one good. Everybody should try Cintia's as an alternative to the big chains. - SWMPLS, 02/06/2004

Cintia's has the best salsa in town and used to have the best chips to go with it. Please bring back the old chips, because the new ones are rather bland. I'm afraid I'll have trouble getting my boyfriend to go to Cintia's as often as we used to because he is really disappointed in the new chips. Otherwise, the food is great and the new decor is terrific! - Karen of Minneapolis, 04/23/2003

I am a resident of Minneapolis, who spent alot of my youth in Southern Colorado, where there is a heavy Spanish influence in cooking. I found that Cintia's of Mexico was fairly authentic. The food was tasty, and the atmosphere was nice. My only complaint was that for the price, the portions were quite small. I would recommend this restaurant and on my scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 7. - Patrick Cochrane, 12/22/2000
