I've had wonderful experiences at the Grandview Grill. My husband and I have been going there for years and the service is great. The waitstaff always has a smile on their faces, the food comes out in timely fashion and tastes delicious. It's a great spot to go to on the weekends and in such a peaceful neighborhood. Horrible service. There was,somewhere around,8 servers mulling around the front entrance/kitchen doing absolutley nothing. In the meantime our food sat ready visible at the kitchen. It took a bus boy (i think)to notice how long it had been there and ask the waitress to bring it. She went on with her shiftlessness and the busboy finally brought our food. the Wife's food was good but in short portion (2 eggs looked more like one) and my burger was awful. the entire thing soaked in oil from the rediculous amount of cheese. about 20 min later when our waitress finally showed and asked how everything was, I explained that the hamburger (which cost $10.00 by the way) was awful. On my visit to Grandview Grill the service was horrible. My companion and I waited an hour and fifteen minutes for the food we ordered, which in the end we never received. Our waitress kept blaming the kitchen for the wait, yet everyone around us was receiving their food with a small wait, even her customers who arrived long after us. The waitress never offered to compensate us for the poor service. Even though she gave the adjacent table a free meal to make up for her forgetting to put in their order. After and hour and fifteen minutes of waiting, poor service, and excuses my companion and I walked out. I have never had such an awful dining experience. - Sue, 09/07/2002
