For well over 2 decades, 'Big Juan' and delicious award-winning hamburgers cooked to order over an open flame have made this place a popular spot. Menu items include the Great Big One, a half-pound burger for $4.75, and the Big One, a third-pound burger for $3.89. Variations of the Big One include bacon cheeseburger for $4.54, and Tijuana Torpedo which is beef laced with jalapeno jack cheese, topped with green chili, and served on a torpedo-shaped roll for $5.15. My husband raves on The Chuck Box. I ate their once. Once. It was enough. We ordered burgers and fries and a side of fried mushrooms. The fried mushrooms were watery and cold. The burger? Burnt to a crisp. How can that be good? Still, my husband thinks "The Chuck Box" is the best burgers around. At least give it a try and make your choice. Maybe I went there on "Opposite Day" (ref.
