Come for the video poker, stay for the food! Located a few blocks north of the infamous Strip (and walking distance from the Fremont Experience), Courthouse Bar & Grill is the place to be for Vegas fun with a neighborhood feeling despite being located downtown. Spinning four of a kind wins you a free lunch! Be sure to try the Courthouse Hot Turkey Sandwich, if you get the chance. You won't be sorry. Daily happy hour specials include Wednesday Ladies Night (my fave) where drinks are half off. - SherriY, 08/30/2010

Love the Loaded House Chips & Specials, Video Poker I love this place! The specials are different and good, like the loaded house chips and fried green beans. It’s fun and casual. Great food, good drink and food specials and they have fun games, flatscreen TVs and video poker. You’ll like this place! http://www.thecourthousebar.com/ - Kenny, 08/31/2010

My girlfriend had some business to take care of downtown Monday morning, so I took her out for breakfast at the Courthouse Bar & Grill on the corner of Third & Lewis. She had the

breakfast sandwich a croissant stuffed with egg, sausage, and cheese. I had the 2-egg special, scrambled, with hash browns, whole wheat toast and coffee. Pretty good fare for only $14 with tax/tip included. The lunch menu looks intriguing, too, and there are daily blueplate specials. The prices are moderate, such as fish and chips for just $6.99. I'm sure it would be nice to sit outside in the fall with a brew or two and watch people come/go from the county courthouse across the street. The Courthouse also serves hotdogs from a lunch wagon on the corner, just like in NYC. What is unique about this bar & grill, however, is the murals on the walls inside, depicting a food fight inside a courtroom. The judge, jury and lawyers are all pictured stuffing their faces while the trial observers throw desserts, soft drinks, fruit and vegtables at each other. Hilarious detail! I particularly liked the woman who is readying a spoon to catapult what looks like lime jello at the woman in front of her. The look on her face is pure glee. Ah, if real trials were so much fun. I tried taking a photo of one wall with my cellphone, but I'm afraid the little built-in camera doesn't do the scene justice, if you'll pardon the pun.
