Fifty years old; this hotel underwent a major renovation in 1997, to the tune of $200 million. The 715 room resort was redesigned, reflecting the 1930's Palm Beach era. The 32,000 square foot casino offers a full complement of games; it is highlighted by dome-shaped ceilings hand painted in royal blue and gold leaf. The Desert Inn Golf Club is the only course on the strip - it as hosted the PGA, LPGA, and Senior PGA tournaments.
