This is considered no-frills, inexpensive place to crash after a long day. - Alotta, 10/07/2003

This was by far my favorite place to breakfast in all of Las Vegas. The food is great, always hot, and served quickly by the best waitresses in the West. This is Vegas of the bygone era. It's the last of the old wooden frame hotels on the strip (old L.A. Highway). It's closure deserves more press. The long time Vegans like myself will remember the Klondike fondly and will miss it. I was there on closing day. Not a dry eye in the house. Steve - Stevie Gee, 07/16/2007

The Klondike was part of one of our worst nightmares, and it does not surprise me that it is closed. There was a mix-up in our reservation at the Monte Carlo where my niece was being married, and there were three big events in town, so the Klondike was the only place we could find. The little casino was kinda cozy and the nicest part of the two-night stay. The food was AWFUL (fortunately it was comp't so we couldn't complain) but their 'famous' prime rib was 1/2 inch think and I swear it was fried. And the room? Drapes falling off the rod, stains on the furniture that could only have gotten there one way, and a filthy shower with the door falling off...and it eventually did. We look back on the whole thing and laugh, but at the time we were in shock that this place could stay open. I have pictures to document that above description. - Chuck and Pam Mortensen, 04/09/2007

I find the people working there friendly and the service excellent. Good deals on food also a plus. No remote controlls in the rooms but other than that my stays are always good. Like playing in a casino where they know you by your name. Will stay there more. Thanks - Ron James, 08/23/2002

The Klondike was not as bad as people claim it to be. I had a great time playing in you smaller casino more so because of the smaller crowd. The food was good and my room was huge. The Klondike is a very good and decent place to stay if you kinda want to get away from all the action at bedtime... Aside of the hotel being a little older than what you would normally see in comparison to the other larger hotels and casinos- I would rate the Klondike a 7.I definetly got my $ worth, felt no regrets, and won a little during my stay... - krandolph@hollydig.com, 02/12/2002
