Akihabara
Known for its "maidu" cafes and video parlors, Akihabara is a nice half-day walking trip.
Take the Ginza line Suehirocho stop, and you are just 2 blocks north of the main shopping area.
If you arrive before 10am, just look for the long line of teenages waiting to get into the main video arcade (on the day we stopped by, there were at least 100 people waiting for the doors to open!).
For lunch, we stopped at Johnathon's .. and then down the street to Cafe Mai:Lish for an ice tea.
The "maidu" cafes are Tokyo's version of Hooters or Tilted Kilt - at least that was our impression!
The best of the cafes, @home, is located in the 5th or 6th floor of the main Video Arcade building.
